The cry is going out in many Christian circles that we are nearing the end and it is time for the mark of the beast.  The pandemic is a sure sign of the end because it is worldwide.  Many believe that a vaccine is being made that will be the mark of the beast.  If you search on YouTube for dreams, you will find that some are dreaming that to take this vaccine will be the mark of the beast.  The angel in one dream told the young woman not to take the vaccine, so she is warning others not to take it.  Is a vaccine the mark of the beast?

If the Bible is studied thoroughly, it will be seen that the mark of the beast has to do with loyalty to God’s law.  Seventh-day Adventists teach that the mark of the beast involves a Sunday law.  Is such a law on the horizon?  There are false prophets and false teachers that are saying so.  Those who do not study and keep up on events are getting in a general panic.  The cry is, “Oh no!  I need to move to the country!  Is it too late to homestead?”

It is time to take a deep breath and calm down.  It is not too late to move to an already established property in the country, and I believe it is not too late to homestead.  Thirty years ago I had this same fear.  We were in the end times.  How was I ever going to get to the country?  Wisdom is learned with experience.  Trust comes from seeing God move in His time.  

I was not happy about getting laid off in April, but God was blessing me and I didn’t know it.  I ended up making as much on unemployment as I would if I was working and didn’t have to wear a mask all summer long dealing with Covid-19.  I had more time to work on my blog and YouTube channels and to have a garden and to clean my home.  So, even though unemployment seemed scary, it ended up being a blessing.

This pandemic also seems scary.  Any time of uncertainty will be scary.  It doesn’t scare me, because I know that it was planned all along by evil people that are trying to bring the people of the world under their control.  These evil people were trying to take away our freedoms in this country.  I believe that President Trump was placed in his office by God to turn around the evil and allow us to have religious freedom a little longer.  I have heard some who listen to the lies of the fake media saying that President Trump will be bringing on the Sunday Law.  This seems far fetched when his daughter and son-in-law are Jews and he is very concerned about religious freedom in this country and around the world.

Fear comes from ignorance, and I recommend everyone to read two compilations of Ellen White’s writings called Maranatha and Last Day Events to keep fresh in mind the events that need to happen and prevent a panic.  It is not too late to homestead, but you need to be in prayer and trust that God will make it possible for you to move out.  It is not easy to start from scratch and it does require money.  Maybe God has a plan to bless His people to get out of the cities.  Just keep praying and getting ready by learning all that you can.

The following quote which I read in Maranatha p. 202, made a lot of sense to me as I saw it applies to our day.  I will make comments in parenthesis.

“Some, I saw, have a prejudice against our rulers and laws (Could this be the Black Lives Matter and defund the police movement?); but if it was not for law, this world would be in an awful condition. God restrains our rulers (Congressmen, senators, president, vice president, governors, and mayors) for the hearts of all are in his hands. Bounds are set beyond which they cannot go. Many of our rulers are those whom Satan controls (If this isn’t evident yet, it soon will be.); but I saw that God has his agents even among the rulers (Which rulers are trying to restore our nation and to give glory to God?). And some of them will yet be converted to the truth (This is great news!). They are now acting the part that God would have them. When Satan works through his agents, propositions are made that, if carried out, would impede the work of God, and would produce great evil. The good angels move upon these agents of God to oppose the propositions, with strong reasons, which Satan’s agents cannot resist. A few of God’s agents will have power to bear down a great mass of evil. (This bearing down of a great mass of evil is what caught my attention.  Has this ever happened before?  Where is this great mass of evil?  Could it involve pedophile rings and drug trafficking all the way to the top rulers of our nation?  Could this evil be world-wide?) Thus the work will go on until the third message has done its work, and at the loud cry of the third angel, these agents will have an opportunity to receive the truth, and some of them will be converted, and endure with the saints through the time of trouble. When (Always pay attention to the when and then.) Jesus leaves the Most Holy, His restraining Spirit is withdrawn from rulers and people. They are left to the control of evil angels. Then such laws will be made by the counsel and direction of Satan, that unless time should be very short, no flesh could be saved. 1T p. 203″

Another good book to read is Country Living.  It includes the following quote:

“It is no time now for God’s people to be fixing their affections or laying up their treasure in the world. The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation, in the decree enforcing the papal Sabbath, will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains. And now, instead of seeking expensive dwellings here, we should be preparing to move to a better country, even a heavenly. Instead of spending our means in self-gratification, we should be studying to economize.—Testimonies for the Church 5:464, 465 (1885). read is Country Living.

When the Sunday Law is passed, that is the last warning to leave the large cities.  The families similar to Lot can flee to a smaller city.  But, can you imagine that they will buy that home and then have to move in one week, one month, etc.?  How long will it take to prepare to move to the secluded places among the mountains?  

I hope this will help put things into perspective so that God’s people will not be in a panic and will put their trust in Him.  Prepare your hearts.  If God was to grant you a large sum of money to move out to the country, would you be ready to go, or would you make excuses?  Again, I say, It is not too late to homestead.  Only God knows how much time we have.  Trust Him.
